Let’s begin our spin around the Rams roster breaking down every player and their role in the 2010 Rams, if they are going to make the team and their role in the future.  Today we are going to start with the QBs.

Sam Bradford – The $50 million man. King Sam. Slinging Sammy.  The hopes and dreams of an entire fanbase rest on his shoulders.  He has had a good training camp so far and it should be interesting to see him in the preseason.  He should start at least 8 games for the Rams in 2010.

AJ Feeley – AJ Feeley was signed at the mentor and the bridge quarterback to Sam Bradford.  He knows what his role is with the Rams and he is embracing it.  He knows he probably will start a few games for the Rams in 2010, but he knows he is just keeping the seat warm for Bradford.  Feeley knows the system that offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur has put into place like the back of his hand.  He signed a 2-year contract so he should be the Rams backup QB in 2011 as well.

Keith Null – Null was forced into action in 2009 for the Rams near the end of the season with mixed reviews.  He had a lot of poor decisions and throws.  Null has a cannon for an arm, but didn’t seem to always want to use it.  He often floated passes that ended up getting to the receiver too late.  Keith has the inside track to the 3rd string QB spot on the Rams.

Thaddeus Lewis – If it was any other year, Lewis would have landed safely in the Rams 3rd string QB spot.  But, this year Null is the incumbent 3rd string QB with starting experience.  Lewis is a very interesting prospect though.  He comes from a great program for QBs at Duke.  His head coach for 4 years is a great QB teacher and Lewis comes into the NFL with an NFL ready mind.  Would love for the Rams to stash Lewis on the practice squad for the season, but it does not seem that likely.  I covered Thad Lewis in his own post here
